BSVI stands for Bharat stage six emission norms. It is the sixth mandate for vehicular emissions and a much welcome change amidst the rampant air pollution. BS6 is a stricter, more restrictive norm that will give a jump start to Nepal’s initiation to lessen air pollution. With the roll-out of the BS6 norms, Nepal will come at par with the US and European equivalent emissions norms. Unlike carburetors, a Fuel Injection system is comprised of a complex set of electronics and sensors. In carbureted systems, the fuel gets drawn from the tank, while in a fuel Injected system it depends on a fuel pump installed inside the tank for fine-grained control over fuel flow. The fuel injection nozzle also goes directly inside the combustion chamber. The pressurized fuel is very well atomized as a homogenous mist in the case of FI systems, allowing for very efficient and clean combustion.
