Miss Nepal contestants participate in Yamaha Road Safety Awareness

Voting for ‘Face of Fascino’ is now open

Yamaha has organized Road Safety Awareness Program to contestants of Miss Nepal 2017 beauty pageant in which instructors from Nepal Police, Road Safety Society Nepal and MAW Enterprises taught them about reasons of road accidents and measures to avoid and reduce such accidents.

In the event organized in Kathmandu on Saturday, Coordinator of Road Safety Unit in Police Head Quarter, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sabin Pradhan, Campaigner of Road Safety Society Nepal Niraj Dhaubadhel and Yamaha-certified instructor Jeena Gurung shared ideas on road safety measures. After, Yamaha Safe Riding Science (YSRS), the contestants were given a practical approach of safe riding as well.

The contestants of Miss Nepal also took part in a CSR initiative of Yamaha. They reached four busiest places of Kathmandu (New Road, Baneshwor, Kalimati and Thapathali) to convey message about safety measures to drivers and pedestrians. Similarly, they distributed masks to them to avoid polluted air breathing.

Session on Women Empowerment

Meanwhile, in ‘A Day with Yamaha’, COO of Mega Bank Dr. Raveena Deshraj Shrestha gave insight on women empowerment to the Miss Nepal contestants. ‘Being selected for final competition its self is great achievement,’ Shrestha said, ‘Now you became famous in nation. But, this fame should not be for self. Utilize it for positive change of society.’

‘People believe on you because now your credibility is high so impart good things to society” she added. In the session, the contestant put their view on contribution of scooter in women empowerment.

Voting for ‘Face of Fascino’ is now open

In a mean time, Yamaha has officially opened the voting for ‘Face of Fascino’. Yamaha is two-wheeler partner of Miss Nepal 2017 as in previous edition. The ‘Face of Fascino’ is awarded to one of the 19 contestant who is chosen by judge panel of Dr. Raveena Deshraj Shrestha, Neelam Chand and Osima Banu and through public voting in Yamaha’s official facebook page and in Yamaha showrooms all over Nepal.

The voting is open from 19th May to 2nd June till 3:30 PM. One of the lucky voters will get change to win brand new Samsung S8 mobile phone. Similarly, the winner of Miss Nepal 2017 and ‘Face of Fascino 2017’ each will get Yamaha Fascino scooter as gift from MAW Enterprises.
